Question:
Bismillah Ar Rahman Nir Raheem
Salaam alaikum ya Sayyidi Mawlana Sheikh Hisham. May Allah bless Sheikh Nazim and you with a long healthy life, Ameen.
I have started performing Islamic meditation & muraqaba for 2 months now. Since then, I have been experiencing some strange palpitation on the right side of my head. It is not bothersome. However, my head feels heavy as soon as I start to worship Allah – while I am doing my daily awrad or as soon as I divert my self in dhikrullah. Please give me something to read for it, should I worry over it? I met you a few weeks ago but did not bring it up since the heaviness has increased dramatically – just recently.
Jazakallah!
Answer:
wa `alaykum salam,
Insha-Allah Mawlana Shaykh Hisham Kabbani is praying for you.
This “heaviness” is a sign you are on the right path, continue and don’t be alarmed or put off. Shaytan is never happy to see anyone escape his clutches and will make it as hard as possible to observe the powerful forms of worship our mashaykh are teaching.
If it remains difficult increase your salawat more and reduce your other practices, until the pressure become bearable. However, it is better if you can maintain what you are doing and be patient with the heaviness, recite a`udhu billah mina ‘sh-shaytani ‘r-rajeem Bismillahi ‘r-Rahmani ‘r-Raheem when this occurs and recite Ya Latif lam tazal ultuf bina fima nazal 10x daily.
