Question:
Assalamu Alaykum
I pray that you and your family are in the best of health and Imaan Ameen.
May Allah Azawajal sanctify the secret of our blessed Shaykh, Sayidi Wa Murshidi Mawlana Shaykh Nazim Haqqani Al-Rabbani Q.S, and grant them with strong health Ameen.
I am in need of your reply, as its such a sensitive topic and need to try and help some locals InshaAllah.
Recently a well known scholar was addressing the youth and whilst addressing the youth during praising Rasool Alalh Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam he said:
‘and it would be no exaggeration to say that many of the youngsters here could read better than the prophet Salallahu Alayhii Wasallam’
Myself and others felt that the above was very disrespectful and that no one can be compared to the best of creation whether this be his beautiful physical being or his beautiful skills and abilities that were far beyond our knowledge and that he salallahu alayhi wasallam was better than any of the creation by the will and command of Allah azawajal in all aspects and was perfect.
The student of the scholar who made the above statements when he heard my above response, responded by saying that you must prove that disrespect was intended and then went on to say:
‘the issue now returns to what was meant……. (he didn’t mean disrespect and was praising prior to this) (The scholar has responded by saying I have done nothing wrong) and that Imam Razi says in his tafsir that the Messenger is the aqal in terms of literacy- meaning he knew the least- so he says that before this fatwa is put on him they would have to put it on one of the great ulema‘
He continued to deny that anything wrong was said and that there is no issue.
My response was – When it comes to speaking about Rasool Allah Salallahu Alayhi Wasallam then such words that are lowering or disrespectful should be avoided and not even used in the same sentence – even if such words are about something or someone else.
JazakAllah khair Sahykh, May Allah azawajal bless our Sultan ul Awlia Mawlana Shaykh Nazim Q.S and that they recover quickly and gain physical strength asap Ameen.

Answer:
All the youths and all the elders from the beginning of creation until Resurrection cannot match one breath of the reading of the Prophet upon him blessings and peace. That person is not a scholar but a dall misguided person, his thinking is pure modernism, equating ummi with illiteracy in secular terms, and he understands zero of what Imam Razi said and should not even bring up his name.
