My questions is: How does one explain the concept of our Prophet (Sallalaho Alaihi Wa Sallam) being Hayaat-un-Nabi?

It is explained through the ayats and hadiths that address the reality of the next life as the real life, for example the fact that martyrs cannot be described as dead, and the Prophets pray, make pilgrimage, and are with Allah Most High, with their leader the Seal of Pophets, in their barzakh which is a dimension completely different from what the mind or the senses can know.
