Do Asharis deny freedom of choice and believe that people are forced by Allah to do sins, but bear responsibility based on realization (or illusion) of committing them (and the latter supposedly makes Asharis different from Jabarites)?
Answer:
No. Denial of freedom of choice and the belief that people are forced by Allah to do sins are not the position of any of the Sunni sects. It is the position of the Jabriyya or Determinists. Also, there is no illusion of committing sins; the commission is really the doing of the sinner, even if Allah Most High creates the act at the time of commission.
