Question:
Does the deeds(good or bad) of family(parents and siblings) affect the love of Allah for a person. As I have listened from many that Allah listen and loves awliya sayyed family more than normal person who prays and does dhikr.

Answer:
No soul is tasked with the burden of another. However, good deeds bring blessings and protection, and remove bad ones. The meaning of awliya means close to Allah and that is a gift from Allah to whomever He pleases. Sayyids have additional responsibility to keep high the honor of the Prophet (upon him blessings and peace) by being the best examples and Allah helps them in that. However, the Prophet warned: “Do not let people bring their deeds on the Qiyama while all you bring is your lineage” because relying exclusively on one’s lineage is from Jahiliyya.
