Assalaamu alaikum,
What is true for people who see the Prophet (s) in a dream and if his intercession is guaranteed – how do we ensure we do not become lazy in religion or arrogant towards other people or take the blessing for granted?
Answer:
wa `alaykum salam,
Yes, as our Mashaykh have informed us, whoever saw the Prophet (s) in the dream will be saved from seven great disasters in this life and seven in the next.
In spite of this, nothing can be taken for granted, for even Sayyidina Abu Bakr Siddiq (r) was worrying if he would enter Paradise, despite being as-Siddiq, despite being mentioned in Holy Quran as Sahib (Companion) and despite being the first Caliph of Rasoolullah (s). He, and all the Sahaba, are our examples, they spent all their nights crying asking for mercy, safety, blessings and Allah knows best.
