Last night I saw a dream in which I’m in my house and I am surrounded by black darknesses and I was terrified then I am reciting durood and it made me feel calm but the darkness was still there. (P.s I pray namaz regularly)
Answer:
wa alaykum salam,
That dream is showing what Awliya see today: this world is covered in darkness of self-gratifying tyrannical egoes and desires and no light from namaz/salat, du`a, durood and contemplation (tafakkur/muraqabah). Keep to dhikrullah (and durood/salawat is considered as such) as Allah said:
الَّذِينَ آمَنُواْ وَتَطْمَئِنُّ قُلُوبُهُم بِذِكْرِ اللّهِ أَلاَ بِذِكْرِ اللّهِ تَطْمَئِنُّ الْقُلُوبُ
those who believe, and whose hearts find their rest in the remembrance of God – for, verily, in the remembrance of God [men’s] hearts do find their rest (13:28)
