Dream: Dream-Quran Recitation

Dream:

I was sat in front of a large quran. The surroundings were all white. Someone was stood behind me but i could not see him. I was told to read the first part of the quran which i did. I was then told to read the second part of the quran (the first and second part consistered of chapters 1-29). Finally, i was told to read the third part of the Quran which was chapter 30 which i did. Having read chapter 30 i was then told to read it again for the second time at which point the dream ends.

Interpretation:

As-salaamualaikum!  After “a`udhu billah mina ‘sh-shaytani ‘r-rajeem Bismillahi ‘r-Rahmani ‘r-Raheem “, and after salat and salaam `ala Rasoulillah (peace be upon him), and after asking support from my Shaykh, may Allah t’ala grant him long life and raise him in mercy and honor and knowledge and endless pleasure through His Divine presence, I will try. insh’Allah, to say something about your dream.

You have been reminded by your real being in the Divine Presence of your promise to your Lord on the Day of Promises, namely that you (and all of us) have been created only to serve our Lord; to love Him and learn about Him, and be for Him only.  We came from Him, and we are returning to Him – this life is only the preparation for the meeting with Him.  In the dream you were facing Quran al-Karim, which is the encounter with the Divine.  Or, you may say that you are encountering Him through a hijab, who is, first of all, Prophet (peace be upon him).  Or, you may say you encountered Him through your Shaykh, who is teaching you some important points to prepare you for the meeting with the Lord.

Maulana Shaykh, Allah ta`ala blesses him, always says that you may find everything you need in Holy Quran. Therefore, you have been advised to give more care to reading and contemplating and understanding Holy Quran. When you read, certain ayats and phrases will attract you.  Use them – recite them as a dhikr – they contain lights that you need.

Especially you have been directed to sura Rum, the thirtieth chapter.  Try to recite it, as much as is easy for you, perhaps daily, or weekly, or monthly.  If you can’t find time, try to recite the last section, or the last two sections – from ayat #41 “Mischief has appeared...”  up to the end, or from ayat #54 “Allah is the One Who has created you in a state of weakness” up to the end of the sura. If you can’t recite Holy Quran, you may find on the internet so many sites for listening.   All of this after the permission of the Shaykh, of course, and Allah ta`ala knows best.
