Dream:
Assalamu alaikum,
I am awake in the middle of the night calming my baby, suddenly I see a sihouette behind a veil in my mind’s eye. I feel it is Prophet saw appearing behind veil because I’m not worthy of his vision. He is holding a key and points to baby, then the vision disappears. I feel he means that in order to see him I should have better adab with my baby. I’m confused about it, as it happened when I was awake, did I make it all up myself?

Bismi-llāhi r-raḥmāni r-raḥīm:
Wa alaykum salam,
A vision of the Prophet (s) is true. Alhamdulillah that you were blessed with such an experience, even while awake. One important matter with children that our enlightened guides have stressed is the importance of not polluting their pure hearts with bad reflections which veil the heart. This is especially important with food and drink. The person feeding the child should be in a state of wudu and make dua (even Fatiha alone) before and after eating, and mention the Basmala while feeding. And Allah knows best.
