Question:
assalaam o alaikum ,baba ji i would like to ask if it is compulsory in Islam for a wife to ask before she makes donation to zakat, charity etc. or start or run her business with her own earnings or money from parents. my husband is always pressurizing me in every sphere of my life as though i have no will of my own. please answer as soon as possible.i am taking my son for operation(hip joint replacement) abroad(U.k)he is paying for the air ticket but not for any other expenses( medicines other costs) what should i do?

Muslim woman has the right to earn money and to own property, to enter into legal contracts and manage all of her assets. She runs her business and no one has any claim on her earnings, including her husband.
Allah swt said in the Holy Qur’an:
“And in no wise covet those things in which Allah hath bestowed His gifts more freely on some of you than on others; to men is allotted what they earn, and to women, what they earn; but ask Allah of His bounty, for Allah hath full knowledge of all things.” (4:32)
