Asalamualaikum,
I’d like to get married to a guy that I’ve know throughout university- approx 4years.This guy is a mureed of Shaykh Nazim- Shaykh Nazim gave him permission to marry me when visiting cyprus 2years ago.We are from different cultures (I’m Indian Muslim and he’s Pakistani Muslim).Due to past experiences my family are not willing to even consider the prospect of me and him marrying and are being very strong minded about it. This guy is a good person- once my family see beyond their negativity they will see this too. my family feels as though I have let them down- they want me to marry an Indian Muslim.Please make duas that my parents become open minded and understanding towards me and my choice in life partner. Maulana what approach do i take for them to realise?I can’t seem to pursuade them-it’s been almost 6months since I told my family.
