My husband who was a convert has left Islam and I am very heartbroken, we have a four month old son together, and although he doesn’t stop me from practising, he doesn’t believe. He says he cant understand slavery in Islam, and why The Beloved Prophet saw allowed it and especially in the battle of Uhud, they took women and raped them…My husband wont let me circumcise my son either? I don’t know what to do.
Answer:
Alaykum Salam,
Explain to him that his act has dissolved your marriage and that he needs to say shahada again otherwise you are no longer husband and wife. The rape story is his own fabrication. Qur’an is the most anti-slavery scripture on the face of the earth. Circumcision can wait. We are praying for you.
