What I have to do

salam alaykoum Mawlana may Allah bless you and your family.
Me and my wife know each another in the Sufi center, we all take the bayat Naqshbandi. after some years togeter, she begin to tell me that the sufi way is heavy for her and she doesn’t like any more the way because some sohbat hurting her. She start now looking after different way of spiritualities and wants me to do like here and not only to be in Islam practice but I tell her it is impossible because my way is the Naqshbandi way for my practice. I’m scared to continue in this way. We have no children. Forgive me for my bad adab.  I want to divorce because all my life I hope to marry a muslime lady. I need your advise because you know better. May Allah bless you. salam alaykoum.

wa `alaykum salam,

It is fine if husbands and wives have their own spiritual paths. In the end the journey is to Allah. Let her know that the bay’ah to Mawlana Shaykh Muhammad Nazim al-Haqqani is a stamp on her heart. Mawlana Shaykh will never leave her and those who made bay’ah to him.

If your wife is not a Muslim then it is your opportunity to guide her to Islam. Share the beautiful teachings of Mawlana Shaykh Nazim and how they can be effective in your lives. Recite “Yaa Muqallib al-Quluub, Thabbit Quluubanaa ‘ala Deenika wa Taw’atik” 100x daily.
