Question:
I am a German convert learning in Damascus. I told you once that I got the offer to marry a divorced girl living in a village near Hama. She is maybe 1 or 2 years younger than me (I am born in June ’84). Some of her brothers and nephews are used to looking a lot at TV. I don’t know if she grew up with other children.
Now the guy who is responsible for me asked me if I would like to see his divorced cousin. She is twenty and has a little child living with the grandparents (so that the father can’t take the child). She knows how to drive a car (I don’t know how to drive a car). I guess she grew up in Damascus and maybe she has experiences with parenting.
What is your opinion? Should I also see other Muslim girls? (for marriage)
Answer:
You may see others. Look for the one who keeps her prayers. Have ablution before each visit and ask Allah Most High in your heart to direct you to the one who will help you become a better person.
