Will and inheritance issues

Question:

Assalamualykum, We live in North America. When we bought our house many years ago, I made the entire down payment from savings from when I used to work before marriage and before I had children. Alhamdulillah I was happy to put it to good use.
For many years my husband and I shared a joint account of all our monies.
Early last year he took me off the account. I was upset about this but my husband is set in his decision, Alhamdulillah. I have been since praying asking Allah to give me peace with this decision. Now my name is only on an operating account for daily expenses, Alhamdulillah.
My husband is wanting to make an Islamic will. He spoke with a lawyer and accordingly he is planning on leaving the appropriate amounts for his siblings and parents.

Can my husband will my money in the house to his family?

Answer:

wa `alaykum salam,

Your husband is to fear Allah and not deprive you of your rights affirmed by Shari`ah. He cannot allot your money in his will to his family without your permission.
