Question:
Assalamu3alaikum wa rehmatullahi wa barakatahu,
Mashur(Famous) story of Utbi is recorded in Tafsir Ibn Kathir & other scholars also recorded it… This story has a base of Tawassul.. Wahabis reject this story….In what conditions can we accept this Mashur Story?

If it was good enough for the major masters like Nawawi, Ibn Jama`a, Ibn Kathir, Ibn Qudama, Ibn `Aqil, Ibn `Abd al-Hadi, Ibn Muflih, Qurtubi,Subki, Buhuti, Bayhaqi etc. then it is good enough for us.
