Which English translations of the kutub sittah do you recommend as being reliable? I have heard the translation of Bukhari by Dr Muhsin Khan is a good translation, but what about the other 5 books of hadith?

It is not, and there are not any to my knowledge, but whatever is found is better than nothing for the alert reader.
