I want to know that whether Imam Mehdi will be from the Aal of Syedna Imam Hassan or Syedna Imam Hussain?

Answer:
`Alaykum as-Salam,
It is established that the Prophet (upon him and his Family blessings and peace) said: “al-Mahdi is of my close family, from the offspring of Fatima” as narrated by Abu Dawud and Ibn Majah in their Sunan and al-Hakim among others, with good chains. This is what is reliable and known.
Other than that, there are forged narrations stating that he will be a descendant of al-Husayn b. `Ali b. Abi Talib or al-`Abbas b. `Abd al-Muttalib respectively. And Allah knows best.

Il est établi que le Prophète (Paix et Bénédictions sur Lui et sa famille) a dit: ”Al-Mahdi est de ma famille proche, de la descendance de Fatima” tel que mentionné par Abu Dawud et Ibn Majjah dans leur Sunan et par Al-Hakim entre autres, avec de bonnes chaînes de transmission. C’est ce qui est connu et sûr.
Mis à part cela, il y a des narrations falsifiées qui mentionnent qu’il sera un descendant d’Al-Hussayn ibn ‘Ali ibn Abi Tailb ou d’Al-‘Abbas ibn ‘Abd Al-Muttalib. et Allah sait le mieux.
