Is working in bank haram? There are some scholars who say that it is not permitted and some say that one can do the job. If it is a private bank owned by an individual then it my be termed as haram. As the government banks in India take even the social responsibilities instead of just giving loans on interest, is it permissible to work in these kind of banks?
