Is online chatting permissible if the intention is to know the character of the person and to also have own character be known to the person in question for the purpose of marriage if a person is participating in an online matrimony site? Is it permissible in the case when the individual is sharing all details of the chat also with one’s own family so as to keep everything halal? Please answer.
