Feeding one’s family with sihr earned

Question:

what is the negative effect upon believing family {Muslim family} who has as-saahir as their bread winner.

Answer:

Eating from haram income, especially from an enormous sin such as sihr, is what the Qur’an and Sunna call eating suht, which literally means “raging hunger” (Tabari, Razi, Qurtubi) and “the husk that is stripped” (Raghib) and the “thorough shaving” (Zamakhshari) i.e. of religion, “thus called because it leaves nothing behind of one’s faith” (Ibn Faris) and “signifies its eradication” (Mawardi). It is like ingesting poison which does not differentiate between intended and unintended ingestion whatsoever. The whole family is in jeopardy in dunya and akhira.
