Question:
Salam alaykum shaykh Gibril,
I’ve asked a question about “burial after maghrib“. In fact a
brother died yesterday in new jersey by a hit and run car, and because of
circumstances the family has no control over, the burial may take place
today after maghrib and there disagreement among them. One relative of the
deceased who is naqshbandi called me to yesterday to have a clear
position of Islam about it. Please your prompt help by answering me will
be a big relief for this family.
Thanks
Answer:
Alaykum salam,
It is allowed. So many male and female sahaba were buried after Maghrib or `Isha. It is just preferable that it be done in daytime so people can see more
clearly, that’s all.
