What are the rulings of mixing fish and milk as food in Hanafi school? I heard that there is a hadith in Imam Suyuti’s book that forbade it.

Answer:
The Islamic law does not prohibit mixing fish and milk and dairy products. There is no Shari’ah prohibition. Some scholars in the past have warned against such a combination as they considered it to be harmful to the body based on the medical research done and available at their time. If the modern-day medical research proves otherwise then there should be no harm in consuming or cooking fish with dairy products.
