Question:
If a person is on leave from her job for four years and have been studying abroad. That person is getting paid throughout even he is not doing any work at all. I wonder is that money halal or haram?
Answer:
If a person is on leave from his job and has been studying abroad and is getting paid per the employment contract signed, without breaking employment rules, his payment received in such way is halal.
