Forgiveness for murder

Question:

A family which kind of confiscated your land, and refused to give it back to you; and make you waste $15K for 15 years trying to get the land back. During an argument you kill one of the members from that family. Do you go to hell for sure 100%? Assume that the killer is a Haji, and prays five times a day, but he killed someone, a relative from the other family stealing his land for 10-15 years. Does the killer definitely go to hell despite all his prayers all his life, giving Zakats, and going to Hajj, etc????? During the remaining part of his life, what prayers should he continously say forever? Is there even a slightest chance that he might be forgiven?

Answer:

`Alaykum as-salam

One sin never justifies an even graver and much more terrible sin. Allah Most High said Whoever kills one soul it is as if he had killed all mankind; so it is the gravest of all grave sins after shirk to murder someone, and nothing and no one can lift that guilt so it is up to Allah Most High. Ask sincere forgiveness for the rest of your life as Allah most High said:

{O My servants who have wronged themselves do not despair of the mercy of Allah, truly Allah forgives sins in their entirety.} (Az-Zumar, 39:53)

Perhaps your sincerity will enter you under the canopy of the saying of the Prophet upon him blessings and peace: “My intercession is for those who committed grave sins in my Community.”
