my question was if we can communicate with people when they have passed over ( dead) ,? you gave me this answer below :
A) when someone dies he can communicate with other people if his spirit is free, otherwise he cannot.
Can you tell me what you mean by free spirit? does this mean a martyr / shaheed person? or is it a spirit which Allah swt has given permission to come back to earth freely with no restrictions? and how can i communicate with them can i call on them? is this allowed is islam ?

What Shaykh Hisham means by “his spirit is free” as he has explained in many suhbats, is that person has reached a level of enlightenment, gnosis, ma`rifah, wilayah with Allah swt.
Yes, such saints can be reached by calling them and they hear and they respond. That is the meaning of calling Ya Shaykh Madad! Ya Sultan al-Awliya Madad! Ya Ghawth al-`Azham, aghithnee! and so forth. They do have power to reach people from the barzakh and assist them.
