why do you allow endogamy?

Question:

I just read some “marriage with cousin” post around here.  Don’t you ever heard about the undesirable consequences about it???
What about [al-Talkhīṣ al-Ḥabīr 1371`]

Answer:

One’s marriage to a cousin is not endogamy.  Endogamy is defined as “The custom of marrying ONLY within the limits of a clan or tribe” (OED) and “marriage within a specific group as REQUIRED by custom or law” (Merriam-Webster). Neither is the case in Islam (see https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cousin_marriage#Islam).
