I was very happy when listened Mawlana S. Nazim speaking about monarchy. I aways liked this kind of government. I’m very pride to say that my country, Brazil, once has a monarchy system. So, I want to ask Mawlana Shaykh Nazim and Mawlana Shaykh Hisham to pray for the Brazilian monarchy to return, and to this country to be straightened and cleaned of it’s corruption. Is the picture of our late emperor D. Pedro II, who was a very fair, wise and pious king, and was fond toward Muslims. He was deposed in 1889 by militars in a coup d’ etat that inaugurated republic in Brazil.

Thank you for your message and the link. Monarchy for its own sake is dispraised in the Holy Qur’an (27:34) but it is indeed preferred as a lesser evil in comparison to modern-day governments. The one monarchy that Islam actively promotes and for which Muslims pray is that of al-Mahdi at the end of times, i.e. our present time. That is what Grandshaykh Mawlana Shaykh Sharafuddin, Grandshaykh Mawlana Shaykh Abdullah Daghistani, Sultan al-Awliya Mawlana Shaykh Nazim, and all Awliya – Allah sanctify their secrets – in recent times have been awaiting, since al-Mahdi’s rule and kingdom will bring back peace and the rule of Prophetic law on earth, at the hand of Sayyidina `Isa upon him peace. All other monarchies are but pale fragments of that one real monarchy, as witnessed by Mawlana’s extreme disappointment with current kings and sultans.
