I suffer with mental illness and fear my death if I make hajj. Is the hajj still obligatory on me ?
Answer:
As-Salamu ‘Alaikum,
Sicknesses that lift the obligation of Hajj are chronic or terminal illnesses of which there is no hope of recovery. In your case, your concern is valid but it is not certain that your fear will result in your death. For this reason, the obligation of Hajj still remain, if you have the means. (Allah (swt) knows best)
