Namaz

Question:

Asslamalaikum may Allah give Shekh Nazim a long and bleseed life and grant jannat al firdous to Sheikh Nazim and the Ummah of the prophet peace be upon him, ameen.

I wanted to ask when reading namaz for example when reading Isha you read 4 sunnat and you have to move for whatever reason is it allowed to get up and pray he rest of your namaz in a different place? When in namaz you are doing salam are you allowed to say asslamulaikumwarahmatullah wabarakatuhu because I have been told you are only allowed to read asslaulaikum jazakallah.

Answer:

Wa`alaykumussalam,

Amin to your du’a.

Changing to a slightly different place between Fard and Sunnah prayers is preferred. This is to differentiate between the two and to prevent combining them. You need not move far away, just an inch suffices for this need. Each spot we pray shall be a witness for us on Judgement Day; if you have the luxury of space, you may do so.

End the prayer (your giving Salam) with “Assalamu’alaikum wa Rahmatullah“, and this is agreed upon in all Four Schools.

Allahu A’lam
