Will God conceal sins?

Question:

I am worried Allah will reveal my sins, if I continue to try to purify myself and to become a Wali, will Allah cover and conceal my sins from being exposed even if their is some proof of my sin?

And how many Durood-e-Wali daily is considered “A LOT?”

Answer:

Assalamualikum wa rahmatu Allahi wa barakatu:

As Allah swt says in the Qur’an: “Indeed, Allah forgives all sins!” and the meaning of the hadith of the Prophet salla allahu alayhi wa sallam is that if the servant does not reveal the sins or mistakes of their brothers and sisters, I will protect and save them in dunya and hereafter … also, if we do not make our sins public, Allah will continue to protect us because that means we are displaying ḥayāʾ (bashfulness/humility) …

Continuing to repent and feeling ashamed of our sins is the solution… There are three conditions of repenting from sins:
1) to stop doing it
2) to regret doing it
3) to intend to never return to it …

If the sin concerns the rights of another person, then there is a fourth condition: to repay the rights of that person. Also know inshallah that our objective is not to become a wali, in order to show miracles or see visions … but rather our objective is to be beloved by Allah swt and in His presence and the presence of His beloved salla allahu alayhi wa sallam!

Lastly, it is important to develop our relationship with Allah subhannuh wa ta’ala on the basis of love, beyond sins and good actions, punishments and rewards … in that relationship, the servant perceives their very existence as a sin because it distracts them from Allah swt while Allah swt will dress the servant with immense lights and knowledges more than mountains can withstand

May Allah dress us with intense love for Him and His beloved salla Allahu alayhi wa sallam.
