My question is- Is it permissible to for a syed sister to give Zakat to another syed relative ( not from the immediate family). If not, can it be given to her child who is not a syed ( but from the given amount, if the sister uses anything for her will it be wrong/ can a useful household object be bought and gifted to her.

Answer:
It is not permissible to give Zakat or Sadaqah to Ahl al-Bayt. You may give with the intention of Hadiyah/Gifts.
