Question:

Asalamu Aleikum

And my body vibrates sometime, what could it be?

Please pray dua for me, thanks.

Strange Presence Around me

Question:

Salaam Waalyakum,
I have been troubled for a while about a strange presence that is always around me along with a smokey/incense smell at the same time. I have spoken to someone in tariqa and they have confirmed this. It is something that my mother in law has sent it to keep eye on me and to report everything back to her that goes on in my household. My husband is also aware of her doing this and accepts this. I have had feelings of heaviness at night , and when this occurs I have read the 3rd kalima and hasbunallahs coming from my heart and then it passes. Please advise if anything can be done to remove this presence. I don’t know what my husbands mothers intentions are towards me but she will be coming over to stay with us soon and my heart is telling me that this will cause me problems.

Answer:

Alaykum salam
Take bayaa with Mawlana Shaykh Nazim (Allah bless his secret) if not already and wear his taweez. Recite the daily wazifa from Naqshbandi.org and if you can, join the weekly dhikr in your area which is very powerful protection.

Morning and evening recite from Surat Yaseen the verse, “wa ja`alnaa min bayni aydeehim saddan wa min khalfihim saddan fa-aghshaynaahum fahum laa yubsiroon” six times; after each time blow with a little spittle in each of the six directions: front, back, right, left, up, down. Insha-Allah it will go away.

Sheikh Raja Ashman

Question:

Salaam,
Maulana to you Hajja and all. We are shocked and very upset at the passing of our beloved Sheikh Raja Ashman. Sheikh Raja gave me shahada and bayat. Since his passing I often see Sheikh Raja. Before I fall asleep at night and sometimes when I wake up in the morning. Even during the day I can see him in my minds eye. Is Sheikh Raja still with me and still guiding me…?

Answer:

wa alaykum salam,

Be happy and at peace with the qadaa and qadar of our Lord. At the passing of his 2-year-old son the Holy Prophet (upon him blessings and peace) only said, “The heart grieves and the eye weeps but we say nothing displeasing to our Lord.”

May Allah have mercy on Raja Ashman Shah and grant him Paradise. He helped bring Mawlana Shaykh Nazim (Allah bless his secret) to Brunei for the first time and represented him in Malaysia. He was generous in helping others. May Allah reward you for your love of this good prince and brother in Tariqa.

However, at the risk of overstating this reply, I remind myself and your good self that the Prophet (upon him blessings and peace) said, “Give people their due respect;” and that Bayaa is to Mawlana Shaykh Nazim (Allah bless his secret), Rabita is with him, suhba is with him, irshad or guidance is through him, and focus is on his Way, his teachings, his states; all of which as Raja Ashman would have been no doubt the first to tell you.

All representatives the world over are tottering under the onus of being put by well-meaning brethren (or in many cases, what is worse, putting themselves) into positions which then deprive the latter of their rightful connection to Mawlana at great spiritual cost; hence, as he and his two major deputies always reminded us, adab is irreplaceable in Tariqa and we ask Allah to grant us all understanding.

Prayer Request: Embarrassing problem

Request:

Salam shaykh,
I have had this problem for like a few years now and it doesn’t go away. I have been going doctors and they’ve been giving me creams but the problem is not going away. I don’t know if i should mention it because it is private but basically it is itching in a private area and it wont go away . Is there any duas or anything I can read?

Response:

Alaykum Salam,
Recite in every sajda the dua of Sayyidina Ayyub (upon him peace): inni

Unhappy with Advice Given to Females

Question:

Salam,

I would like to respectfully voice concern regarding advice that is sometimes given to women having problems with their husbands/men like (https://eshaykh.com/family/marriagedivorce/who-is-the-problem/), (https://eshaykh.com/halal_haram/helpless-in-worldly-hell/), (https://eshaykh.com/family/dealing-with-injustice-in-islam/).

It is upsetting that a woman
1) who might have been raped isn’t told to report her rapist to authorities and to look for emotional counseling.
2) who is controlled and punished by her husband for taking a stance in their sex life isn’t told to find support from close family.
3) is advised to deal with her husband’s wandering eyes by becoming more sexually enticing.

I value and respect this website very much, but I wish your advice to women was more empowering/proactive, and that it gave women back control over their lives and bodies. You could recommend better communication with spouses, women can use ahadith to support their positions to husbands/family, and they can seek help/support from close family members.

Thank you, salam.

Answer:

Alaykum Salam,
Victims of rape should certainly report the rapist to authorities and look for emotional counseling. As for confrontation with spouses that only results in anger or divorce, then the advice needs to be rooted in spiritual action.

Prayer Request: Fear of ill health, Istiqara

Request:

Dear Shaykh,
Assalamualaikum , I’m constantly in fear of ill health and it is causing me so much fear that i can seldom think of anything. Even my desire to have a baby , becoming a father are all shattered by this fear. I can’t perform my regular works. I would kindly request you to pray for me and perform an Istiqara to see if having a baby would be wise now. I fear that something evil(e.g a disease) will touch it too. Help my dear Shaykh and help me overcome this through your prayer. My full name is [private], Mother’s name [private]. Thank you so much. Wassalam.

Response:

`Alaykum Salam,
Diseases are humble servants of Allah and only fulfill what He commands, nothing more. So trust in Allah Who does not want His servants to be frozen but to act and trust in Him. Watch as many suhbas of Mawlana Shaykh Nazim and Mawlana Shaykh Hisham as you can and ask Allah to inculcate in you stronger surrender to His Will and belief in Qadar. I also recommend you read Qurtubi’s recently translated book on ‘zuhd‘ or simple living.

Deva

Question:

Assalamualaikum Dear Shaykh,

I have been years wondering what is the nature of origin of deva is it angel or jinn or other kind of ALLAH creation?

thank you

Answer:

Alaykum Salam,
Majority of scholars consider that shaytan or the devil was a jinn while a minority consider that he was an angel. Al-Baydawi reconciled the two views by saying he was an angel whom Allah created with the capacity of fallibility, and he became a jinn. Allah knows best.

Proper Adab

Question:

Hisham which makes me took online bayah to Maulana Sh. Nazim last year after took many prayer because i really haven’t heard of Maulana Sh. Nazim or Maulana Sh. Hisham before . Now i feel comfort in Naqshbandi Thariqah.

There is a picture of person who visited me.He is Hazrat Muhammad Najeeb Sultan Bahoo from Sarwari Qadiri silsila. When he visited me he just stood still without saying any words.

Dream: Stream of water

Dream:

Asalaamlikum Shaykh,

Sorry for my lack of adab, had a dream where I can see and feel Mowlana Shaykh Nazim and his mureeds around me, while me and my older brother jump into a stream of water to the other side, the water was deep and we reached safely. Then once on the other side I decided to jump over the water back to the side we started from, but had doubts about if I could make it, I was able to run and jump across safely.

JazakAllah, May Allah swt bless all you teachers endlessly.
Ameen.

Interpretation:

wa `alaykum salam,

The river represents gnostic knowledge and Mawlana Shaykh is training you to dive in that, first in small amounts, then later in deep oceans, insha-Allah. Put your full trust in him and leave doubts and you will be blessed.

and Allah knows best.

Dream: Bird giving salaam

Dream:

Assalamu Alaikum w.b.,

I saw in my dream the following happening.

I was walking in a garden towards two good friends of mine. When I approached them, a bird flew to a tree in the garden close to me..I looked at the bird and the bird said to me, “assalamu alaikum warrahmattullah wabarakatuhu”. I give salaam back and look at my two friends. I was astonished when the bird gave me salaam, and ask them if they heard what the bird just said. They didn’t hear it. Then the bird flew away.

What does this dream mean? Until now I am puzzled about it.
wassalaam.

Interpretation:

`Alaykum Salam,
“The souls of shaheeds are in birds hovering around the Throne” (Hadith). Ask for shahada, which is to stand for truth even at the cost of self-sacrifice.
