Dream: About Maulana Jalaluddin (RA) Tomb

Dream:

Asalamualikum Wa Rahmatullahi Wa Barakatuhu
I had a rather disturbing dream long time ago which if I am correct was during the night about me visiting the tomb of Maulana Jalaluddin Rumi. Suddenly the tomb was open and there were three heads inside; one of a man, one of a donkey and one of a fish like creature. All of them were rather wet and covered in a transparent jelly like substance. I distinctly remember it was his tomb because I had seen it in a photo online. It had a big turban on top of it. I don’t know what this means and I hope I have not caused him any disrespect by asking this question. Please help.

Interpretation:

a`udhu billah mina ‘sh-shaytani ‘r-rajeem,

Bismillahi ‘r-Rahmani ‘r-Raheem,

wa `alaykum salam,

The vision of his tomb is a sign that your visit was accepted.  The disturbing part shows the burdens that the awliya carry from people.  And Allah knows best.

Need to be Forgiven

Question:

I have commited a major sin in this holy month, (intercouse, or sex) and don’t know if I ever will be fogiven? Please can you tell me what I can do or a way to repent and inshallah gain forgiveness. I am deeply stressed and feel as though nothing can be done, and that life will never be the same. Please can you do duwah I be forgiven. I am willing to do anything for forgiveness.

Answer:

As long the sun hasn’t risen from the West, the door of repentance is still open wide. Simply turn to Allah, in private. That is Tawbah. Take the obligatory bath, pray 2 raka`ats Sunnat at-Tawbah. Admit one’s guilt to Him, repent (with regret and remorse), and resolve never to repeat it again. Speak to no one of it and move on to do more good deeds to please the Lord.

A point to note, if you did it during the day time where you were required to fast, that day’s fasting becomes nullified. In this case each person must make up that day’s fasting and also make Kaffarah (expiation) by fasting 60 consecutive days thereafter with no breaks (if there are breaks within that period, the Law requires that you start again). If you are unable to do that, the last resort is to feed 60 Masakin (needy persons) each equivalent to the amount and quality of your daily meal. There is no make up or Kaffarah if it was committed between after Maghrib and before Fajr, but Tawbah, yes.

Prayer Request: Hair

Request:

Salaam,

Could I please ask for you to make dua for me as I am growing uncontrollable amounts of hair on my face and body. This is very embarassing for me as I am a girl. Please could the respectable sheikhs make dua for me.

JazakAllahu Khairun

Response:

wa `alaykum salam,

The condition described with excess unwanted hair on face and other male pattern distribution, in a woman is called hirsutism. You can google it to read all details. But the most important thing to do is to rule out medical conditions causing excess male hormone, called androgen. Hirsutism is also caused because of excess sensitivity to the androgen hormone.

Common causes of excess androgen could be secondary to medical conditions like polycystic ovary disease, or because of excess stress hormone called cortisol produced by the adrenal glands, or by oral medicines mimicking cortisol, which causes an imbalance in sex hormone. Tumors producing androgen or excess cortisol also should be ruled out.. It also could be a side effect of a medicine, Dannazol, which is used to treat endometriosis in women.

Once the medical conditions are ruled out and taken care of, by a doctor, the excess hair can be removed by electrolyses or laser procedures done by dermatologists. If it is not much hair, that can be taken care of by women at home using waxing, or tweezing, or even bleaching unwanted hair.

Insha-Allah, may Allah help make the condition better with Mawlana’s baraka.

ALWAYS RUNNING INTO ARGUMENTS AND BICKERING WITH WIFE

Question:

ASLAM-ALLAIKUM(wrwb)
May Allah swt bless u all for your magnificent work.
I have been married with my wife now for about 8 weeks nearly Alhamdulillah. I love her more than she will ever know. She is my life but the problem is we sometimes argue and bicker. She gets very defensive and angry which then gets me angry. We both know it’s pathetic and childish but it still re-occurs. At times it really stresses me out but I don’t show her, and I joke it off as she has been through a lot when she was young and I don’t want to worry her. BUT it gets me thinking all sorts and I am worried all this will tear us apart. She cant see at times the amount I care for her and love her. Can you please make dua for us and recommend a dua for me. WaSalamJZK

Answer:

wa `alaykum salam,

Mawlana Shaykh Muhammad Nazim al-Haqqani says the first six months of marriage is honeymoon, so don’t let bickering spoil it.

Insha-Allah Mawlana Shaykh Hisham Kabbani is praying for your tranquility.

As you said it is childish. That is how you know it is from the spoiled childish ego, an-nafs at-tifl al-madhmumah. Our mashaykh teach to rid ourselves of that, the key is to pray Salat an-Najat shortly before Fajr and do a sajda afterwards in which we recite:

kama takul an-nar al-hataba, hakadha yakulu `amali jami`yan al-hasadu mutassila fiya, fa khalasni minhu ya rabbi wa khalasni aydan `ani ‘l-ghadab an-nafsani wa `an nafs at-tifli’ l-madhmuma wa `ani ‘l-akhlaq adh-dhamima. wa baddil ya rabbi akhlaqi jami`yyan ila akhlaqin hamidatin wa af`alin hasana.

O my Lord! Just as fire consumes firewood, in the same way the envy which is rooted in me consumes all my actions. Purify me, O my Lord, from it and purify me, too, from the anger of my ego. Rid me as well, O my Lord, of the blameworthy ego of the child and reprehensible manners. And, O my Lord, change all my manners to laudable manners and into good actions.

Per Shaykh Hisham, I advise myself and you both to recite 100x ya Halim and 500x ya Samad, also preferably before Fajr, or anytime, consistently daily, to drop anger down.

As Mawlana Shaykh Hisham Kabbani often says, “it takes two hands to clap just as it takes two to quarrel. If one hand remains still, there will be no sound.”
