Pictures and movies

Question:

salam,

I wish to know about the permissibility of issuing pictures and movies related to the life of Sahabahs and Prophets. As here in Pakistan ulema says it is a sin to watch these movies and pictures even made by Muslims because no one should imitate these pious personalities… Please tell me is it allowed to watch them?

Thank you

Answer:

Wa Alaykum Salam,

There is nothing wrong in producing movies about our Muslim heroes for educational purposes.

Dream: In a mall

Dream:

AssalamWaAlaikum,

I keep having a recurring dream in which I am at a mall. Sometimes I am alone and sometimes I have company. I go to a shop to buy cheesecake and coffee. Sometimes I manage to buy it but mostly for some reason or the other, I can’t get them and when I do manage to buy it, I never get to eat it. The mall and circumstances change in each dream but the concept is always the same. At first I ignored it as just a dream but I keep having these dreams. Is there a meaning to it?

Jazakallah

Interpretation:

Audhu billahi min ash-shaytan ir-rajim
Bismi-llāhi r-raḥmāni r-raḥīm:

Wa ‘alaykum as salaam,

This dream can mean that you wish to have an easy career without doing the work that is demanded to get it. Be patient and go one step at the time. Insha’Allah you will succeed.

The dhikr for this is to say is HasbunAllahu wa ni’mal Wakeel at least 300 times a day.

And Allah (awj) knows best.

Repentance, zina

Question:

Salam,

I committed zina with someone’s wife. I regret and I want to repent. Do I have to ask forgiveness from the husband?

wassalam

Answer:

Wa Alaykum Salam,

Since our Lord commanded us not to reveal our sins, hide your sin and do not disclose it unless absolutely necessary. Keep it between you and Allah swt after repenting and asking forgiveness from Him.

Dream that came true?

Question:

I am 16 and wish to study true Islam when I’m older.
1)I dreamt about me and a person (we both want to study) heading towards school salaah room, inside I see a lady teacher sitting along with about 7 African men and women.
the next day when I went to school I saw that teacher in real life talking to a group of Africans.

2) I had another dream that same night, in the rain by the gate of house I lived 6 years back. I didn’t want to enter until a car came and told me to go in, so I did. I was welcomed by lady smiling at me, but in next room I saw a drawing of an evil looking man and in next room I saw man looking at me with one eye green and the other blue.
It is not regurgatation of memories. Please answer.

Answer:

Audhu billahi min ash-shaytan ir-rajim
Bismi-llāhi r-raḥmāni r-raḥīm:

1) Mawlana Shaykh Hisham Kabbani said that this is a power that Allah (swt) gives to some people, and it is true.

2) It shows you that the way to reach Allah (swt) will pass through a struggle within yourself and that you will need to take the hand of a true Murshid to succeed insh Allah.

And Allah knows best.

Wig over hijab

Question:

Assalamualikum wbr.

Is it acceptable to wear wig over hijab? Is it acceptable to cover the hair with flowers until the hair cannot be seen instead of wearing hijab?

Is there any dhikr/surah to say when you really want to wear hijab on your wedding day but there are others who are not keen and you don’t want to hurt their feelings, especially since they are going to be your new family?

Wassalam.

Answer:

Wa Alaykum Salam,

1. It is OK to wear a wig or flowers only in order to cover a defect in the case of a woman who is bald.
2. The dhikr we recommend would be “La Hawla wa la Quwwata illa Billahil-Aliyyil-‘Adheem“.

Dream: Seeing Hazrat Ayesha R.A. mazaar with two designers

Dream:

Assalamualaikum,

I saw Hazrat Ayesha R.A.’s mazaar which was risen not flat. Then I saw two  designers in kurta pyjama and mosque cap,who were stitching the designs on a green chadaar which was spread wholly on the Hazrat Ayesha R.A’s mazaar. I saw only two designs being stitched. I in dream recollected that she was Ummahatul Momineen, then I said in the dream that I too want to be Ummahatul Momineen.

Interpretation:

Audhu billahi min ash-shaytan ir-rajim
Bismi-llāhi r-raḥmāni r-raḥīm:

Walaikum Assalam,

InchaAllah you will attain religious knowledge and piety like our mother Aisha.

Dream: Carrying a clear bag

Dream:

Assalamoaleikum,

I like this girl and she likes me more than I like her. We work in a warehouse. When I am working, she keeps staring at me. She deliberately crosses in front of me everyday. Last night she came in my dreams and I saw her working but she was carrying a clear bag on her right shoulder. I think I saw her at least 2 times with the bag.

Could you tell me the meaning of this?

Jazakumullah khair.

Interpretation:

Audhu billahi min ash-shaytan ir-rajim
Bismi-llāhi r-raḥmāni r-raḥīm:

Wa ‘alaykum as salaam,

This dream can mean that your understanding of her is strong. You can see through her…etc. Maybe she is the one for you. Ask for her hand, insha’Allah she will be good one for you.

And Allah (awj) knows best.

Dream: Gold Necklace

Dream:

A few months ago I dreamed I was at the Rawda mubarak in Medina and as I was leaving a woman called to me, she was holding a gold necklace as if to say, have you dropped this, is this yours? It was mine. Last night I dreamed I was in a jewellers shop trying on a beautiful gold necklace which I was going to replace with my old gold necklace and my mother agreed it was beautiful. I would also like to give you some background – a few weeks ago I met a man and we both wanted to get married but due to my stupidity I drove him away. I am trying to get him back by reciting wazifa Hazrat Daud everyday in English. I had the first dream before I met him. I don’t know if my dreams have anything to do with this. Please help.

Interpretation:

The word for gold in Arabic also means he went away so the dreams might refer to what happened. Trying on a gold necklace but not owning it yet signifies you are not ready for that responsibility yet but it will come to you in sha Allah.

Silver ring

Question:

Is there any weight limit on a silver ring for men?

Answer:

Wearing a silver ring, according to Sunnah, for men is permissible. As for its weight limit, the sahabah never asked about it. Therefore the conclusion is that there is no weight limit.
