Dream: Searching But Not Finding Gold

Dream:

I had a dream in which I was searching for gold but was unable to find it. Could you kindly interpret what this could mean? Thank you.

Interpretation:

Audhu billahi min ash-shaytan ir-rajim
Bismi-llāhi r-raḥmāni r-raḥīm:

This dream can mean that you may have worries about making enough money. If it is so do the dhikr of Masha’Allah Laa Quwwata illaa bilLah in Sura Al Kahf (The Cave) at least 300 time a day. That should, inshaAllah, make a good change.

And Allah (swt) knows best.

Dream: Miraculously saved

Dream:

Salam,

I saw myself in a pool, even if I was sat on the ledge, I felt the water up to my nose as if my whole body was submerged and it was raining a lot. I was asking for help, as I can’t swim, to get out of there. I was scared to die. The friend who was with me suddenly had an  appearance of an elephant laughing at me. Next thing I know, I was out of the pool just like a miracle.

Can you please tell me the meaning of this dream? JazakAllahou khairan

Interpretation:

Audhu billahi min ash-shaytan ir-rajim
Bismi-llāhi r-raḥmāni r-raḥīm:

Walaikum Assalam,

Drowning in a dream is not good if a person does not come out of the water alive. Drowning could mean that a person in indulging in worldly pleasures and matters. Since in your dream you miraculously came out, it means you will amend your life for the better and follow a religious life inchaAllah.

Dissent

Question:

Peace of Allah: I was wondering what the Order’s formal teaching is on private dissent from certain teachings expounded by the Order. In most communities dissent is permitted if it does not cause scandal and offense. I am just wondering what the official position is in this Order about personal dissent. For instance, when one’s conscious is in conflict with some teaching made by some authority in the Order, one should be true to one’s conscious I would imagine, as this is the most common teaching in world religions, but I do not have the benefit of formal training in this Order’s tradition so am asking this question here in this forum. Not everyone can agree with everything in any institution and so most institutions make statements about personal conscious and dissent and I would love to read this Order’s statement about this matter. Blessings and bliss to All!

Answer:

Follow your conscience but be aware that shaytan might also be tricking you. Give your Guide the benefit of good opinion and do not object. As Shaykh Abd al-Qadir Jilani said: “Whoever say ‘Why?’ to his Shaykh will not succeed.”

Dream: Ihram

Dream:

Salaam,

I am a female and I saw a strange dream where all my high school and college friends all the people I used to know are calling me to party and have a good time with them, but instead I’m sat away from them all and I just smiled at them. I said I can’t because I am in ihram now and I sat wearing the ihram which men wear for Hajj. I saw this dream on the night of Arafat and it confused me because I am a woman wearing an ihram. Wasalaam.

Interpretation:

Audhu billahi min ash-shaytan ir-rajim
Bismi-llāhi r-raḥmāni r-raḥīm:

As-Salāmu `Alaykum,

It shows your internal state after the acceptance of your Hajj ,insh Allah. Your friends represent your sins and the state of Ihram represent your state of purity after Allah (swt) forgave you.

It is narrated by Abu Hurairah (raḍiy-Allāhu ‘anhu) that Allah’s Messenger (ṣall Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) said:

Whoever performs Hajj to this House (Ka`bah) and does not approach his wife for sexual relations nor commits sins (while performing Hajj ), he will come out as sinless as a newborn child (just delivered by his mother).

And Allah knows best.

Dream: Fighting with knives

Dream:

I did istikhara on whether I should marry my cousin. I had dreams about fighting the most popular girl in school and her friend, we were trying to kill each other. Then I saw a young man with fair skin in black clothes and green eyes surrounded by mist looking at me. Then on the 7th day I was in my home country getting assaulted by jinns and vying for the attention of the most popular boy in school. I also dreamt of the ocean and that sharks were trying to get me but I jumped high out of the water n out of harms way. I also saw the colours black and red. Please note that I wouldn’t do the things in this dream, and that if it were not for my health problems Iwould be praying all my nafil prayers

Interpretation:

Audhu billahi min ash-shaytan ir-rajim
Bismi-llāhi r-raḥmāni r-raḥīm:

The istikhara show that if you marry your cousin, you will go through a lot of tests and difficulties that you will be able to overcome.

And Allah knows best.

Prayer Request: Employment and debt

Request:

Salaam!

I was hoping you might make dua for me, or tell me which duas would be most affective. I’m 2_, female, and a licensed attorney but for a year now I’ve been unable to find work. I pray 5x every day, fast nawaafil fasts on M/Th, give sadaqah regularly and make dua often daily, plus dhikr. I try to maintain tawakkul, but don’t see much happening. Help? Any advice would be appreciated.

Response:

Alaykum Salam,

Mawlana Shaykh Hisham is praying for you. Continue what you are doing and trust in Allah. You are doing fine but do not say “but I don’t see much happening.” It is all blessings and  Allah Most High promised more if we are thankful.

Dream: Visiting Shaykh

Dream:

Salamalaykum,

There’s a Sheikh who visits sometimes but I never go because I really don’t get on with all the Naqshbandi’s here. I’d like to see him though. Anyway, I dreamt one of the Naqshbandis had been slandering me to him and he gone along with it. Could this be true? If so, how can this be?

Interpretation:

Audhu billahi min ash-shaytan ir-rajim
Bismi-llāhi r-raḥmāni r-raḥīm:

Walaikum Assalam,

Dreams do not usually mean exactly what they show. Sometime our own fears and anxiety are reflected in our dreams. Do not let the feelings of rejection you feel from some people stop you from doing what pleases Allah.

Success is from Allah.
