Dream: Prophet Jesus (as) white glowing light

Dream:

Assalaamualikum,

I had a dream where someone is saying me that they saw Jesus (pbuh) and Jesus brought 4 messages and at that time I was thinking Quran has already everything, why 4 new messages and I was thinking if I could see him, after that from a distance I saw a white glowing light of Jesus and looked like he is praying. I had this dream before my Friday iftar in Ramadan, and I missed my Asr prayer (whimsically I went to sleep and thought I will pray Asr after awaking from the sleep but I missed it).

Interpretation:

`Alaykum Salam,

Number four here points to the Five Heavenly Books less Qur’an, and also for the five prayers less the one you missed, and Sayyidina Isa (upon him peace) is telling you not to do that because the Fatiha contains everything so do not miss it, especially the Asr prayer.

Negative energy from people

Question:

Assalamualaikum,

Sometimes when I see young kids I got extreme negative energy almost to the point of being depressed and some kids make me very happy. Is this from my own ego or is it the bad or good characteristics of the parents reflecting on the kids? Excuse my bad adab. Thank you.

Answer:

`Alaykum Salam,

It is sometimes both but dhikr will strengthen you and give you an enduring happiness with Allah Most High and His Decree in His creation.

Unhappily married

Question:

I am married with kids to a woman that I no longer love. I loved who she was, not what she has become. She gambles, backbites, she speaks bad to her friends about my family, my mother, then she pretends to be their best friend. I have spoken to her countless times only starting regular arguments, she then convinces me otherwise. Because of this woman I have slowly cut my family off. I grew to love another woman that has influenced me to make regular namaz, even making Fajr now and i now enjoy getting up for the early morning prayer, she even got me to make peace with my father whom I had a bad relationship with. Do I end my marriage and tell about this new woman in my life or do I stay unhappily married and end my affair that has brought so much good in me spiritually?

Answer:

There is more blessing for you in your sinful wife’s little finger than in a million ones of what you described as your affair even is she prays namaz 24 hours a day. Your patience with your God-given wife is a door to paradise whereas an illegitimate, God-forsaken relationship guarantees cancellation of good deeds. The Prophetic Sunnah in this case advises to look at the good things which captured your heart in the first place and focus on that, and try your best to save your marriage and children from loss. Continue praying, it will put light in your heart, and try and involve your wife also in this excellent path. As for the second woman then make it lawful, either by marrying her or by ending the affair.

Dream: Istakhara

Dream:

Asak, I am a Muslim male about 20 years in age. I was confused about my choice of career so I did istakhara for it for seven days continuously. On the fourth day I had a dream that I was being selected for a job in a field I am not pursuing but I have wanted to do. Please help me decide whether this dream was from Allah or one from my subconscious. And what should i do? I am already pursuing my studies in a totally different field and if I switch careers it may be disastrous.

Interpretation:

Continue your studies which you started and do your best.

Dua Saifi and Dua Mughni

Question:

Asalam-e-Aleikum.

I have a few questions to ask about Dua Saifi and Dua Mughni:
Can anyone recite Dua Saifi or ijazah is necessary for reciting it? And are there any restrictions upon reading this and/or is there a specific process of how to recite it? If ijazah is necessary then who should I ask for ijazah? Also can I recite Dua Mughni (for a just Cause) with Dua Saifi or should i recite it individually. Is there a zakat attached to reciting Dua Mughni. If so then how much is the zakat and what is the process of giving it?

Thank you kindly for your consideration.
Ma salam

Answer:

`Alaykum Salam,

You have ijazah. See here.

Return to work or not

Question:

As-salaamu alaykum Mawlana Sh. Hisham and all eshaykh staff.

I have been on maternity leave for several months and need to know if I should return to work or stay at home to continue looking after my child. My husband is returning to studies therefore, we would have no source of income, and would be incurring debt. If I return to work it would alleviate some of our expenses, but we would have to find someone to look after our child. I am also still breastfeeding so that would have to stop also. What can you advise us to do?

Kissing your hands and feet. We miss you terribly! Please pray for us, as we are so weak and in need of your support.

Answer:

`Alaykum Salam,

Our advice for barakah and protection for yourself and family is for your husband to suspend his studies temporarily and go to work to support himself, you and his child as is his obligation at all times, but especially at this time of extra need and vulnerability on your part. Allah will provide in sha Allah.

Moving on after divorce

Question:

Salam alaykum Shaykh.

I am in need of advice, inshaAllah. Upon Shaykhs advice after my postive istikhara and husbands negative, I am still reciting Ya Wadud and reading istikhara and dua ul-Haajjah. My husband (ex) still not wanting to reconcile. Our baby who I am taking care of is only a few months old. How do I proceed from here?
Jazaakallaah.

Answer:

`Alaykum Salam,

Continue for at least 40 days and recontact him every now and then to let him know that you and your baby need him. With patience in sha Allah he will relent and come to his senses.
