news and deppression

Question:

News these days is depressing , constantly negative and I feel takes from your positive energy which keeps you on a downer, I’m more for energising oneself, so on that note anyone got any tried and tested Meditation/muraqabah  techniques they would like to share ?

Answer:

Watch the news and say Alhamdulillah for the favors you are swimming in.  That is actually a prescription of Mawlana Shaykh Nazim for people who are not happy or depressed. He used to ask them to go to hospitals or mental homes to see how lucky they are. Now you just have to watch the news.
