I am in utter despair at the moment. I have been in a long distance relationship with my husband of two years. There were issues over the visa because of which we could not live together for long. We had issues like normal couples and I admit I acted very unreasonably at times. He told me the marriage was over a month ago and pronounced talak to me once last week. I am trying to save this marriage with whatever I can. He said he did istikhara or took a suggestion from an aalim who asked him to go ahead with the divorce as he wasn’t happy with me. Please pray that he gets a change of heart and is saved from all the negative influence. I will change!

Do not despair but turn to our Creator and ask for the best in this life and the next. Write or speak to your spouse that you love him and want this marriage to continue. Avoid assigning blame to other than oneself. Recite ya Wadud x100 daily and trust in Allah.
