How to do Istikhara (answer through heart)

Question:

Auzobillahi minushaytanir rajeem… Bismillahir Rehmanir Raheem

Asalato w Salamu alaykom Mawlana(q) and Hajjah(q)

Please forgive me.
One of the questions asked here has been answered as “such questions are answered through heart”. Sayyidi, forgive me for timidness. How can we ask through heart? How do we know if we got the answer through the heart or no? Do we hear a voice?

Answer:

wa `alaykum salam,

The best way to ask a question through your heart is to do the istikhara prayer. Make intention for istikhara/guidance and then pray two raka`ats. Sit facing Ka`bah after the prayer and connect your heart to Mawlana Shaykh Nazim. Ask the question you need an answer to and wait for inspiration to come. The first answer you sense coming to your heart is the correct one. Even if another answer comes quickly to your mind, listen to the first inspiration you felt or heard.

And Allah knows best.
