Question:
As Salamu Alaikum;
I want to be sure about certain sheikhs who claim to have a authentic silsilah.
1) A certain sheikh named Hasan Galip Kuscuoglu in Turkey. He says that “whoever says that Allah exists is a Muslim”, and he said that “Ataturk is a very holy man, he was appointed by god to improve the society”
I’m strongly of the opinion that he is a fake.
2) Second group is in NY, and they claim to be the followers of the late Sheikh Muzaffer Ozak and they call themselves “Nur Ashki Jerrahi Sufis” ( I have benefitted greatly from Sheikh Muzaffers books) but when I looked them up a bit, the current head of the tariqa is a woman, and the previous leader was Lex Hixon, and he had written books about Hinduism etc. after he was the head of this group. Can you clarify for me please.

Allah (swt)’s Most Beloved Prophet (s) has said,
The best of Allah’s servants are those who when seen remind you of God; the worst of God’s servants are those who spread tales to do mischief and separate friends, and look for the faults of the good.
