adaab and dua for visiting shrines of saints

Question:

Assalam u alayekum syyedi sheikh !
Please tell me what are the adaab of visiting the shrine/maqaam of a saint.and what should be recited or how should that saint be calles to take ‘fayz‘ (spiritual benefit ) from that Wali (whose shrine/maqaam is one visiting).I request the staff to post this as soon as possible because the Urs of Sheikh Hindi (Khalifa of Hazrat Daat Ganj Bakhs Syedna Ali Bin Usmaan Al-Hajveri) (May Allah Bless them both and be pleased with both of them) is on 7,8,9 February at Hazrat Daata Sahab’s shrine and i intend to go there to attend Urs inshaAllah.

Answer:

Wa `alaikumus-salam

Take a shower and pray 2 raka`ats Sunnah before you visit. Be dressed in your best, wear perfume, and observe the utmost discipline in yourself before the tomb of Allah’s saint. You may recite Istighfar/Ya-Sin or any dhikr/du’a.
