Correct Protocol for Sayyidina Mehdi (alayhi salam)

Question:

Bismillahirrahmanirrahim.

Assalamualaikum warahmatullahi wabarakatuh dearest beloved Mawlana Sheikh Hisham Kabbani,

Out of reverence to the Grandmasters of the Naqshbandi-Haqqani Tariqah, and especially to our beloved Master, Sultanul Awliya Mawlana Sheikh Nazim, the adab and protocol when referring to them is to address them as “Mawlana”, “Mawlana Sheikh”, “Sayyidi”, and so forth.

Please could you kindly clarify for us, what the proper and respectful form of address would be for Sayyidina Imam Mehdi (alayhi salam), when he makes his appearance? Also, would be appropriate to refer to him as His Majesty, considering that he is the Khalifah of the Muslim world?

I beg your forgiveness for my ignorance and mistakes.

Answer:

`Alaykum as-Salam,
Khalifat Rasulillah and Amir al-Mu’minin.

Hajj Gibril Haddad
