Reading dalail ul khairat in daily zikr

Question:

Assalam u alayekum ya Syyedi Sheikh Hisham!
If one has the “Dalail ul Kherat“, does he have the liberty to choose among one hizb of dalail daily or 100 times salwaat?
What if a person doesn’t possess it in Arabic version but in English transliteration and if he finds it difficult to read from that transliteration?
Shukru ka ya Syyedi.

Answer:

wa `alaykum salam,

If you think you will miss the daily reading from the Dala’il al-Khayrat, Shaykh Hisham says you may do the 100 salawat in its place, as mentioned in the instructions for the Daily Awrad.

If one cannot read Arabic the transliteration is fine. Alternatively, as Shaykh Hisham has often recommended for non-Arabic readers,  simple move one’s finger over the words and let your eyes partake the lights which emanate from these salawat.

w ‘Allahu `alam,

Taher Siddiqui
