Question:
Assalamu’alaikum
I was going through the usual 200 beads count of the Naqshbandi tasbeeh but I don’t understand the way the beads are strung. It’s 33,33,33,30,60,3,7 which makes 199 beads all together. Could you elaborate on the specific counts and what awrads are recited in the before-mentioned counts. Thank you..
Answer:
`Alaykum as-Salam,
Mawlana Shaykh Hisham said that Grandshaykh Sultan al-Awliya’ Mawlana al-Shaykh Abd Allah had a 200-bead tasbih with the following dividers: 33, 33, 33, 30, 70.
The alif of the tasbih counts as one. The three 33s are for tasbih after Salat while the 70 is for astaghfirullah in the daily wazifa. That’s it.
