Assala’mualaikum, Dear beloved shuyukh,
Please pray and ask forgiveness on my behalf that I can stop looking at the opposite sex in lustful ways, and avoid doing haram acts as a consequence. It has become an addictive habit for me built up over a long time.
I sincerely hope one day very soon, a higher, purer spark can be born in my heart where such thoughts are left behind and replaced with an unbroken connection to the Shaykh, and then to the Prophet (pbuh) and the Divine. Sadly, so far I seem to be failing in acquring a strong connection to the Shaykh and when lustful thoughts overtake me it always gets the upper-hand to any thoughts of the Shaykh.
Seeking your support and all the awliyah Allah.
