Seeking Clarification

Question:

Dear Syakh Hisham
In 1990s I met an old man who taught me to be a healer. He is a mureed of a master from Mt Merapi, Indonesia. He told me to recite verses of Al Quran (Al fatehah/Al Ikhlas etc), invocation to Prophet and also madad from the master at Mt Merapi before healing a person. I have not met the master of the Mt Merapi. The old man who taught me has since passed away and I have taken baiat from you, my shaykh in 2004. My question is, is it ok to carry on what I did then or should I stop becoming a healer. Pardon my bad adab, Shaykh.

Answer:

wa `alaykum salam,

Carry on with your healing as taught, and mention Mawlana Shaykh Nazim’s name.

Shaykh Muhammad Hisham Kabbani
