Signs that Allah is angry with a believer?

Question:

Auzbillah Minash Shaytaanir Rajeem
Bismillah Ir-Rahman Ir-Raheem

Assalamu-Alaikum Waramatullahi Wabarakatu:

How does a believing individual determine when Allah is angry with that individual? What are its signs? To the best of my knowledge, the opportunity to determine the signs is the best way that the believing individual can correct the attitude and behavior before death.

So, humble request: Using references from Quran, hadith, classical books and advice from past and present awliyaAllah, please shed light on this very important topic (especially as I am concerned about this regarding myself but also believe it would be beneficial for others to learn).

Alhamdullilah, I am aware of Allah’s mercy and His love for His slaves, but I am talking about general and specific signs of Allah’s anger on those of His believing slaves who are disobedient to Him.

Jazakallah Khayran.

Alahumma sale ala Muhammadin wa ala ale Muhammadin wasallam.

Answer:

Alaykum Salam,

The sign that Allah is angry with a servant is when He makes that servant busy with what is of no benefit or removes one far away from His good pleasure, such as attacking Awliya.
