1)In the video, Shaykh Hisham talks about two sentences that makes one happy and cause energy to open up the heart. The video cuts off before ending. If possible, i would like to know what are the two sentences mentioned. 2) My girlfriend and I have been together for 6 years. She is willing to convert and we are planning to marry. However we have financial difficulty and we can’t marry. Please pray for us and, do i still have to do istikhara to know if she’s the right one for me?
May Allah bless you with the vision of Prophet Muhammad.
Wa alaikum Salaam,
For this segment, the context of the story here is what is important. That the advice of these Shuyukh carry light if we obey and try to recite the many adhkar (phrases of remembrance) mentioned by them. For example Shaykh Nazim says ‘La ilaha illAllah’ expands the heart and removes depression and he advises many other adhkar that you will find in Shaykh Nazim’s and Shaykh Hisham’s talks. Reciting them will have the effect of their spiritual support.
Secondly, if you and your girlfriend are in agreement, let her take Shahadah and marry Islamically so that your relationship becomes halal and trust in Allah for sustenance until you can arrange for a more formal wedding for your families. No need for istikharah if your hearts are at peace with each other.
