I know that the name Taha is one of the names of the Prophet (PBUH), but can you please tell me what it means and what kind of weight, responsability, or affect it may have on someone with that name?

Imam al-Suyuti said droves (khala’iq) of the Qur’an commentators and hadith scholars mentioned Ta Ha among the names of the Holy Prophet (upon him blessings and peace) while Imam al-Zurqani (Allah have mercy on both of them and all scholars) in Sharh al-Mawahib al-Laduniyya mentioned the following meanings for it:
– O Man [ya rajul]
– O Human Being [ya insan]
– O Pure One [ya tahir]
– O Guide [ya hadi]
– O Hope of the Umma in Intercession [ya matma` al-shafa`a lil-umma]
– O Guide of Creation to Religion [ya hadi al-khalq ila al-milla]
Carrying such a name demands respect for humanity, observance of purity, followership of guidance i.e. the Sunna, belief in and salawat on the Intercessor (upon him blessings and peace), and correct ambassadorship of him and his guidance to the rest of creation. To intend so entails receiving protection and success toward realizing all such intentions in sha Allah.
