Answer:
`Alaykum as-Salam,
Mawlana Shaykh Nazim is Hanafi but there are many things that he does in Salat that are from the Shafi`i Madhhab such as reciting the Basmala out loud and the Qunut in Salat al-Fajr to name two examples. We follow him in all of this. However, when praying with Hanafi jamaa there is no need to pray nafl before Maghrib, or say Amin out loud as it might create fitna, and avoidance of fitna is fard so fard has priority over nafl. You can pray that nafl after the Maghrib prayer as qada’ (make-up) according to the Shafi`i madhhab. Otherwise you should pray it before with the intention of praying a sunna prayer as per the madhhab of Imam al-Shafi`i, Allah be well-pleased with him and as taught to us directly by Mawlana al-Shaykh Nazim, Allah sanctify his secret. Prophet upon him blessings and peace said Salat is pure goodness available (as-salatu khayrun mawdu`un) for all so take from it as much as you like, and we were not created except to worship Allah Most High.
